PRESS RELEASE

BOULDER, COLO., May 26, 2026 (PR NEWSWIRE)

GBHD Rebrands as Field First Communications at 10-Year Milestone

Woman-owned marketing and communications firm unveils new name reflecting hands-on, industry-immersed approach. After ten years as Get Back Here Dog (GBHD), Colorado-based marketing and communications firm is officially stepping into a new chapter under the name Field First Communications.

Founded in 2016 by Creative Director Liz Deets, the agency has grown from a scrappy startup with an intentionally temporary name into a nationally recognized firm serving industries ranging from agriculture and tourism to libraries, economic development, manufacturing, and trade associations. The new name reflects how the company has always worked: shoulder-to-shoulder with clients, inside industries, and close to the action.

“Get Back Here Dog was never supposed to last ten years,” said Liz Deets, founder and creative director of Field First Communications. “It started as a placeholder name and somehow grew into a business we’re incredibly proud of. But at this point, we wanted a name that reflected the way we actually operate: close to the work, alongside our clients, and willing to get into the messy middle to help move things forward. Field First just fits.”

Over the last decade, the firm has helped:

  • A Fortune 5 company scale from 64,000 to 350,000 employees

  • Public libraries raise millions in private funding

  • National agriculture organizations unify brand voices across global markets

  • Tourism, economic development, and manufacturing organizations modernize communications and grow visibility

The agency has become especially known for its work in American agriculture, where the team has worked directly with producers, cooperator groups, and commodity organizations across the country.

In just the last six months, the Field First team has found itself:

  • In 7 combines and tractors

  • On the main stage at the annual U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council conference

  • Acting as editor in chief for 2 industry trade magazines

  • Inside processing facilities and mills

  • Painting and stamping Volvo tractor tracks and wheels as part of a recruitment campaign

  • Working shoulder-to-shoulder with food and fiber producers and association leaders across 6 states

While the name is changing, the company says its personality and approach are not. “We hope people still call us the Dawgs,” Deets added. “That’s part of our history and honestly part of our charm.” The rebrand includes a new visual identity, website, and updated digital presence, all launching under Field First Communications this spring.
